-Volunteer at the Sacramento Food Bank-
Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services is a local, non-profit agency committed to serving individuals and families in need. With a staff of 83 and a volunteer force close to 8,000 annually, Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services provides free emergency goods and services to 135,000 men, women and children each month. Volunteer groups play a vital role in helping feed the 244,000 food insecure people in Sacramento County.
Come join NorCal Snowboarders for a a day of Food Sorting. Our group will assist at the Food Bank Services campus, (1951 Bell Ave, Sacramento, CA 95838) to sort and bag food for the banks food distributions and partner agencies.
We will be helping sort, bag & box fresh produce and non-perishable items from 9am - 1pm at the food bank services campus in North Sacramento. All volunteers in the group must be 10 years of age or older. Volunteers ages 10-15 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian at all times.
