I don't know about you, but one thing is for certain: I spend a lot of time using and abusing the terrain at Sierra at Tahoe (and when there is no other option, I may have littered a time or three.) In any case, I am passionate about volunteer work and hopefully you are too! Last year I attended the Keep Sierra Green day, and I had a great time. What do you have to gain by attending this event? A trip to Tahoe, seeing Sierra Mountain without snow (I know it sounds weird but it looks pretty cool), some seriously amazing free burgers for your efforts, and lots of fun! Please state in RSVP if you would like to drive or be a passenger. If you would like to drive, please state how many passengers you can accommodate.

We'll be trying to break last year's trash collection of 2,000 pounds - come on out and lend a day to giving back to the environment that gives you so much joy all winter long.
This year’s collection effort will cover some of the most impacted trails and base area locations, as well as spread out across areas that have not been covered by previous year’s events. All of the trash will be weighed and collected, with prizes given in a variety of categories. There will be a BBQ with live music at the end of the day to celebrate Keepín Sierra Clean.
Participants should come prepared to navigate steep and sometimes rocky terrain with sturdy footwear. Work gloves are recommended. To help keep the event low-impact, participants should also bring their own water bottles and buckets for trash collection.
After the conclusion of the event, there will be a tailgate ski swap in "B" Lot, where participants are invited to buy and sell ski and snowboard gear. There is no fee to participate in the swap, which will end at 3:00 p.m.
